The Michael Piegare Foundation was founded in 2009 to honor the amazing life and enduring spirit of Michael Joseph Piegare.

He was a special young man who will forever be remembered for his EXTRAORDINARY acts of leadership, kindness, and teamwork.  

Michael loved sports and enjoyed playing competitively. He experienced great joy from mentoring budding athletes and supporting his comrades.  As a collegiate player, he was a rare breed; often regarded as the “heart” of the team.  His deep love for and participation in organized sports helped to shape these highly regarded and salient qualities. 

What began as an initiative to support underprivileged children with athletic needs has grown into so much more.  

Today, The MJP Foundation provides food, clothing, housing, supplies and additional support to disabled veterans, cancer patients and many families in need.

Michael’s legacy endures.

Everything we raise at our annual events and online fundraisers 

goes to help those who need it most.

The Foundation is a not-for-profit, charitable 501(c) (3) organization incorporated under the laws of the State of New York.
